Promoting accessibility for all
The Musée maritime du Québec is proud to be Kéroul certified. This means that our institution provides universal access to the main building and all the exhibitions. Everything has been designed to ensure visitors an optimal experience on the premises: automatic entrance doors, an elevator, restrooms and the Le Cabestan shop located on the ground floor, and easy access to the trails at the riverfront park outside. However, access to the ship museums is still limited, given the many stairs along the tour.
Many special needs services are set up to welcome visitors to the Museum. At the reception desk, wheelchairs are available free of charge and without reservation. Guided tours can be adapted upon request; visitors only need to contact Sophie Royer by telephone or email to schedule a special needs visit.
Accompanying a person with disabilities
Are you accompanying a disabled person? Since the Museum is a partner organization of the Companion Leisure Card, you will be granted free access to the Museum.
Service or guide animals are authorized in the Museum. Visitors accompanied by an animal may be required to produce proof signed by a physician or healthcare professional. The owner is responsible for the animal’s behaviour. In case safety instructions are not followed, the Museum reserves the right to ask visitors and their animals to leave the premises.
