The maritime past of Quebec is alive and well. Outstanding people passionate about the River contributed to this rich legacy\u2026<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n

Some men and women have devoted their lives, work and time to preserve the maritime heritage of the Saint Lawrence River. The Tribute to the People of the St. Lawrence <\/strong>event has been highlighting <\/strong>the significant contribution of those people since 2007. To date, some thirty Qu\u00e9b\u00e9cois figures from the seafaring world have been honoured at this annual event. The tribute was first hosted by the F\u00eate des chants de marins<\/em> seafarers\u2019 shanty festival and was later taken over by the Museum, as a sign of gratitude for those pioneers of maritime life in Quebec. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
