Her contribution to maritime life in Quebec \u00a0<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

In 2016, the Mus\u00e9e maritime du Qu\u00e9bec paid tribute to Suzanne Paquin, President and Chief of Operations of Nunavut Eastern Arctic Shipping Inc. (NEAS), for dedicating over 25\u00a0years of her career to the development of maritime transportation services in the Arctic. Suzanne Paquin started her career in the 1980s at her family\u2019s company Logistec Corporation. As an expert in maritime transportation, she later focussed on developing this sector in the Far North. In 1994, while continuing to manage NEAS, she merged two companies and created Transport Nanuk Inc. to control maritime transportation in the Arctic. At the time, she oversaw a fleet of five ships and 150\u00a0employees, in order to establish connections between the residents of Arctic and C\u00f4te-du-Sud communities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
