The Mus\u00e9e maritime du Qu\u00e9bec (MMQ) is located along the St. Lawrence River, in the Chaudi\u00e8re-Appalaches region. The Museum is the custodian of one of the richest maritime heritage collections of Quebec and Canada. The museum houses over 15,000 artefacts and old maps, books and documents. <\/p>\n

In 1975, the Mus\u00e9e maritime du Qu\u00e9bec was recognized by the Minist\u00e8re de la Culture et des Communications. Since 2019, the Museum also ranks among the accredited museum institutions (French only) of Quebec. This title provides visitors with a guarantee of institutional quality. It also indicates that international standards regarding museum practices and heritage activity planning, protection and promotion policies are respected.<\/p>\n
