His involvement in his profession did not go unnoticed when he took part in the foundation of the Association des marins de la C\u00f4te-du-Sud in 1965. This seafarers\u2019 association is actually now known as the Mus\u00e9e maritime du Qu\u00e9bec, with Caron as one of the cofounders.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In 1967, he founded the \u00c9toile au Grand Large choir with 35&nbsp;voices, which he directed for several years. In 1968, he participated in the production of a souvenir book of the bicentennial of the Notre-Dame-de-Bon-Secours church of L\u2019Islet. Caron also worked for the Minist\u00e8re des Transports as a director of maritime services and the Minist\u00e8re de l\u2019Industrie et du Commerce as a regional delegate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:45px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">About Martin Caron<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Born in Trois-Saumons, Martin Caron chose to dedicate his life to the sea. Wishing to see the world and make his uncle, Captain Georges-\u00c9douard Gaudreau, proud of him, he was 30&nbsp;years old when he became a captain. Among the highlights of his life, he witnessed the crowning of Queen Elizabeth&nbsp;II, in England.
