In addition to this feat, the seafarer made a name for himself in 1967 when he sailed the same route taken by Jacques Cartier in 1534. During Expo 67, he was awarded the \u201cGrand Prix du nautisme\u201d for this Atlantic crossing. The following year, he founded the first sailing school in Rimouski.
