Visitors guide – 2022

We look forward to seeing you!

Every effort is being made to welcome you to an enjoyable, fascinating experience at our museum.

To make you feel as safe as possible during your visit, we have established a number of measures to protect the health of both visitors and staff members.

These measures have been implemented in compliance with public health authority and Commission des normes, de l’équité, de la santé et de la sécurité du travail (CNESST) recommendations.

Do you have symptoms?

If you have any COVID-19 symptoms, have been in contact with an infected person or returned from a trip less than two weeks ago, please stay home.

How can I visit Musée maritime du Québec?

  • Proceed to the main entrance located on Route des Navigateurs (Road 132).
  • Disinfect your hands before entering.
Disinfection stations will also be available during your tour of the museum.
  • Respect the three-feet (one-metre) recommended distancing at all times.
One-way visits start a few minutes apart. At all times, visitors are asked to maintain a reasonable distance from each other in compliance with public health guidelines.
  • Follow the signs.
Traffic flow directions have been placed throughout the museum to prevent people from meeting face to face. Indications along the tour will make it easy for you to find your way.
  • Wear a mask or face covering.
Since July 18, 2020, wearing a mask or face covering in enclosed or confined public spaces is required by the Government of Québec. It is not mandatory for children under 12 years of age, but highly recommended.

If you do not have one, masks will be available at a cost of $2 each at the museum’s reception desk. Visitors refusing to wear a face covering or mask will not be authorized on the museum premises.
  • The museum’s opening hours have changed.
