The Boathouse

This building inspired by a naval carpentry shop allows visitors to learn about the history of naval construction in Quebec. The building houses a large collection of traditional craft used in the region: longboats, canoes, rowboats and others such as “La Dresseuse”, a unique craft used by poachers to hunt geese. The construction of small wooden watercraft is an important aspect of maritime culture in Quebec.

Visit for families and 30- to 40-minute self-guided tour.
